Modern life moves at an unrelenting pace, making it easy to breeze through our daily routines without ever stopping to pause, reflect, or catch our breath. If you have ever felt disconnected from your internal peace or wondered how to cultivate a more grounded daily routine, the Ignatian practice of the Examen offers a wonderfully accessible framework.
Developed nearly five centuries ago, the Examen is not a rigid formal prayer, but rather a brief, reflective review of your day. Taking just a few minutes morning or evening, the practice invites you to ask two simple questions: Where did I feel most grounded and connected today? and Where did I experience friction or fatigue?
By intentionally noticing these subtle shifts in our daily lived experience, we build greater awareness, emotional resilience, and gratitude. You don't need special training, theological expertise, or hours of silence to begin—just a quiet moment and a willingness to reflect honestly on your day. Join us as we explore accessible ways to integrate grounding reflection into real, everyday living.
