When community members gather with a shared purpose, remarkable things happen. This August, First United Methodist Church opened its doors and grounds for the annual National Night Out celebration, serving as a vibrant gathering place for hundreds of local families and neighbors.

The evening was packed with simple joys and meaningful connections. Local sponsor Culver's served over 355 scoops of fresh custard, while children enjoyed continuous fun in the bounce house and explored a real Kenosha Fire Department engine parked on site. Beyond the entertainment, the event provided critical practical support for local students, delivering backpacks, books, and essential school supplies to set neighborhood children up for success in the coming school year.  

Events like National Night Out highlight what it means to be an active, welcoming presence in Kenosha. By partnering with local leaders, first responders, and small businesses, community spaces can transform into hubs of safety, joy, and mutual care. Thank you to the more than 30 dedicated volunteers who dedicated their time to making this annual open house a memorable success for our entire city!
